Once you complete the application process, Granite State College offers two ways to help you identify the most appropriate course work based on your current academic strengths. If necessary, you'll be given the opportunity to either take the Accuplacer assessment test or enroll in a College Seminar course.
AccuplacerAccuplacer will help you identify your academic strengths and needs so that you can plan your course work at the College. The Accuplacer, also called a Computerized Placement Test, provides us with information about your level of skill in reading, writing and mathematics. Accuplacer sessions are available on a regularly scheduled basis at each the College's Regional Centers. Your advisor will help you determine which assessment to take, as well as where and when to take them. |
College SeminarThe College Seminar is designed to provide the foundation for an informed and meaningful college experience. In the seminar, you will discover how your individual capacities position you to successfully attain your academic goals. The course will also allow you to engage in informed planning for subsequent courses. Check the current course schedule to see when the College Seminar course will be offered in your region. |
