B.S. Public Service Management

Use your associate degree or advanced equivalent training in public safety, municipal management, or a related field as a foundation for upper-level learning in public service management. GSC’s B.S. in Public Service Management is designed as a completion degree for those seeking career advancement, future professional flexibility, and enhanced leadership capacity. This degree is responsive to the education needs of business management roles in the public sector and includes an appropriate foundation for further graduate study. Specific careers may include: Town or County Manager, Police/Fire Services, Emergency Communications Specialist, and Homeland Security Specialist.   

Students will:

  • build on expertise through the attainment of new knowledge in management, with specific relevance to the public sector.
  • develop management capacity to enhance individual and organizational performance.
  • apply ethical principles that inform public service management.
  • integrate public service management theories in an applied field to improve efficiency and effectiveness of organizations.

Flexible delivery formats such as evening, online, hybrid, and weekend intensive courses ensure that the program is accessible to working adults of all ages.
