Tremendous Growth among North Country Residents Seeking Degrees Online
Granite State College reports a dramatic 28% increase in online enrollment last quarter
Conway, NH – With affordable tuition rates, the flexibility of online learning, and the student support offered by three local campuses, Granite State College (GSC) is emerging as the choice institution to pursue higher education for those residing in the North Country of New Hampshire.
Being a more rural environment, students in this region face unique obstacles that many traditional colleges are not equipped to address. With income levels lower than the State average and a population that is not concentrated around a specific regional hub, a college degree is an enormous challenge for the people of the North Country to attain.
The growth of online learning in higher education and Granite State College’s firm grasp on this niche has empowered GSC with the tools necessary to serve northern NH’s higher education needs. GSC’s presence with campuses in Conway and Littleton offers the additional advantage of the resources and support of the college at the local level.
“We are the online college of the University System of New Hampshire (USNH), which makes GSC the most affordable in the State. We present the high quality delivered by all of the fellow USNH institutions, and also the flexibility that this region needs, making us an ideal match for those in northern NH,” says Elaine Millen, Dean of Campus Development and New Initiatives at Granite State College.
