Management Students Earn First Place in the International Glo-Bus Competition
Concord, NH – Last week, students at Granite State College ranked #1 world-wide for their performance in Glo-Bus, a competitive simulation of the digital camera industry that is widely used in upper-level Management courses at colleges and universities across the country.
From a pool of more than 2,000 teams from 159 colleges and universities, a group of five students taught by Professors Michael Russell were recognized for their top ranking for the week of November 5 to November 11, 2012.
Glo-Bus provides an active learning experience for students with authentic managerial situations. Working in teams, students are responsible for assessing market conditions, determining how to respond to the actions of competitors, forging a long-term direction and strategy for their company, and making decisions relating to workforce compensation and plant operations, assembly plant capacity, pricing and marketing, finance, and corporate social responsibility/citizenship.
